Tyndall has led the Indian Center since May 2005. Prior to lending his expertise to the Indian Center, he served as Chief of Tribal Operations at the Omaha Tribe and as Assistant Tribal Business Manager for the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. Tyndall has been key to envisioning new avenues of interest and securing additional grant funding. He is a Vietnam Veteran and member of the Omaha Tribe.

Robinette has been hard at work at the Center since 1996 and is Santee Sioux. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting (1994).

Pekas, who has been working at the Indian Center since October 2006, oversees much of the Center's daily operations, including all of the food programs. Years ago Pekas, a Yankton Sioux tribal member who also has Winnebago ancestry, headed Social Services operations at the now-defunct Omaha Indian Center.

Fosler has been busy as a bee since starting at the Indian Center over 14 years ago in March 1996! She received a post-secondary certificate in business and has been in the accounting field longer than most of our clients have been alive.

Ms. Welsch started as an AmeriCorps member for the Youth Program in September 2006. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration in 2005 with a minor in Sociology and is Omaha. She is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Volunteer Partners in Lincoln.

Many will recognize Joe as a returnee to the Youth Program. He has years of experience working with Native American youth in Lincoln, and was even a program participant himself in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He served a 1-year as term as an AmeriCorps member here in 1996-1997 and was employed with the Indian Center 1999-December 2003 before re-joining us in June 2010. He is Crow Creek (Dakota) Sioux and Choctaw.

Robinson's work with the Indian Center began in October 2006 at the onset of the Nebraska Indian Healthy Marriage Project grant. Also an artist, she holds a Masters of Arts degree and previously worked for the Omaha Tribe.

Springer has been with the Indian Center since signing with AmeriCorps in September 2005. She served a year-long term as Youth Coordinator before joining the Healthy Marriage Project in October 2006. She is a member of the Omaha Tribe.

Manthei received her A.A.S. in Human Services in 2004 and has been passionately entrenched in the field since. She expects to receive her PLADC (Provisional License Drug and Alcohol Counselor) in September 2010.

Sheila was hired as the Circles of Care Mental Health Planner in our Omaha office in August of 2009. She has 10 years experience working with various tribes in Kansas. She was previously employed with the Kickapoo Nation School as a Parent Educator.

Sue is another returnee to the Indian Center, having been employed here 1990-1995 before returning this spring, 2010. A Choctaw tribal member, Ms. Bad Mocassin serves in a variety of functions including CSFP support and assisting the Indian Center Sewing Maidens.

Enrolled Pyramid Lake Paiute (NV) and raised on the Shoshone-Bannock Indian Reservation (ID), Ms. James has an A.A. in Liberal Arts and a B.A in American Indian Studies from Haskell Indian Nations University and a Master's Degree in Indigenous Nations Studies from The University of Kansas prior to her joining us at the Indian Center. She also serves as the Native American Partner on the Greater Nebraska Workforce Board and Greater Lincoln Workforce Investment Board. Ms. James also was recently appointed to serve as a Council member on the U.S. Department of Labor's Native American Employment and Training Council by Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis in July of 2010.
